Have you (the TIO staff) ever had sex without being married? [ view ]
The various people from our organization that answer the questions that are sent to us are distinct individuals. They have each made their individual choices. All of them have had consequences because of their choices. The ones that chose to have sex suffered consequences such as STDs, teen pregnancy and/or broken hearts. Anyone on our staff that made the choice to at one time become sexually active later made a choice called 'renewed abstinence' (meaning they chose at some point in their lives after being involved sexually to never be involved in sexual activity again until they were married).
The other members of our staff never had sex until they were married. They also had consequences. Peer pressure and having to control their curiosities were two of the worst consequences. One of their best consequences was having security; they knew that the person they chose to have sex with was proving their love to them with a life-long commitment, not just a feeling. Another consequence was that they had respect for themselves and their spouses and they proved it with their actions.
In short, there are only two sides to this coin. Either you have sex and you get those consequences or you don't have sex and you get those consequences. We on the TIO staff have made our decisions; now it's up to you. Thanks for writingÂ…
